Saudi Arabian Channel Two to telecast Urdu news

JEDDAH: The Channel Two of Saudi Arabian Television will telecast news in Urdu language at 7 p.m. daily, beginning from Friday, Suleiman Al-Hamoud, director of the channel said in a statement on Wednesday.

He said the Urdu news was planned on the directives of Culture and Information Minister Abdul Aziz Khoja as a substantial number of the channel’s viewers in East Asia and the Kingdom speak Urdu.
