Quran interpretation in sign language Jordan: Society of the Holy Quran in Jordan distributes free DVDs of Quran interpretation in sign language among the country’s deaf people.

According to Al-Dastoor newspaper, Hesam Al-Hayari, public relations official of the society said the software has been produced for the first time in the country.

The collection includes 60 DVDs in which there are references to Al-Tafsir Al-Muyassar (Quran interpretation written by a group of Saudi scholars) and Al-Azhar interpretation of the Quran.

He stated that it took five years to interpret all of the Surahs of the Quran in sign language, which has been accomplished by Hussein Al-‘Urtani, who has been working for Jordan TV for 25 years, serving hearing-impaired people.

The software has been produced with the permission of Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs.

He added distribution of the product began on October 16.
