By Rizwan Khatik - Mon Dec 12, 8:32 am

Alami Tablighi Ijtema (international Islamic congregation)The three-day long 64th Alami Tablighi Ijtema (International Islamic congregation) began on Saturday after the Fajr Namaz with the sermons of Maulana Shareef Ahmed. Maulana’s sermon was based on strength of character, self control on humanitarian needs and religion and order.

He talked at length on the aforesaid topics besides emphasising that service, help and invitation of Islam are the most important educations of Islam. It is Farz (compulsory) for every Muslim to do the work of inviting others into Islam and spreading the religion. Existence of human in the universe is only for invitation of Islam and for doing good works, he added.

Soon after Maulana Shareef Ahmed’s soft voice aired through the mikes just after the Fajr Namaz the crowd went silent and listened to him with full respect. The only sound was that of Maulana’s sermons voice and the devotees of Islam were silently listening to that.

He said that self control on senses and humanitarian needs is also a principle and a foundational education of Islam. This means that to have complete faith on Allah and fear from Allah and to stay away from bad habits. If mentioning of Allah is called the life of religion and order then it would not be wrong. Because it only mentions remembering of Allah that keeps the heat of teachings of Islam and religion and order in Muslims’ hearts, he added.

He said that the most important significance of Islamic order is its followers’ sincerity. With soft speaking, happy conversations and sweet tongue we could earn all the awards of Allah that is why follow the path of Islam and orders of almighty Allah with politeness and pray for mercy from Allah, he added.

Maulana Shareef Ahmed also told the gathering about the five basic principles of Islam in detail.

Meanwhile, the railways has made special arrangements for the people coming to attend the Ijtema, it has decided to attach 35 extra coaches on different trains plying on different routes for the convenience of the devotees.

The city traffic would also remain affected for the next two days as the traffic police have prepared a special plan keeping in mind the heavy rush of devotees.
