Azerbaijani Wimax operator Sazz and educational network Azedunet have presented ‘Halal Internet’, a project designed for pupils in Baku, Sumgait and most part of Absheron Peninsula’s schools, writes local publication abc.az. Users of ‘Halal Internet’ service are offered a filter that blocks all websites with undesired content.
Sazz representative Aynur Hasanova has reported that the pupils who received notebooks at Education Ministry’s line will be granted data-cards for wireless internet access.
According to Hasanova, Azedunet is responsible with filtering the internet content. Hasanova said Sazz is presently discussing the issue of providing this service to more internet users.
