Iranian films awarded in Indian fest

“Bitter Milk” by Nasser Zamiri won Honorary Diploma for the best short film and “My Silent Shadow” by Ali Hayati was hailed by the jury members of the cultural event.
The Iranian 29-min entry “Bitter Milk” tells the tragedy of several Afghan families who had to abandon their country due to war, depicting the problems they encountered to earn a living.
Zamiri’s film also was shown at the 2011 edition of One Country One Film International film festival in France.
The movie was also screened at the 2011 Medea FILM FOR PEACE International Film Festival in Italy, was honored by several Iranian awards.
About 100 feature films and 50 short films were presented at the Indian Third Eye Asian Film Festival held in Mumbai.
Nineteen Iranian short films were among the movies that participated the 7-day festival, held in various categories from December 22 to 29, 2011.
Egyptian director Mohammad Diab’s Cairo 678 won the best feature-length film award and Italian Spinelli’s Gangor received the jury’s special hail.
