Afridi appointed UN Goodwill Ambassador

ISLAMABAD: The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) on Friday appointed Pakistan cricket star Shahid Afridi as its goodwill National Ambassador in recognition of his outstanding sports record.
A signing ceremony of Goodwill Ambassador would held at Shalimar Cricket Ground, Margallah Road, F-6/3 on February 6, said a news release issued.
Afridi is a talented all-rounder who was captain of the Pakistan National Team (from 2009-2011 including ODI, T20 and one day matches and has a best record as batsman and bowler. (PPI)
